Artist Talk & Dance Performance: "The Art of Influence"
As part of the campus exhibit "Art of Influence: Breaking Criminal Traditions" on display in Schoenherr Gallery, the College will present a talk by exhibiting Naperville artist Paula Kloczkowski Luberda and a short performance by international classical and folkloric dancer Jasmin Jahal. This free event will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. As one of the most accomplished artists in the exhibit, Paula will discuss her process for creating work which has a deeply personal message but also resonates with issues of human rights on a global level. Jasmin, an award-winning dancer and choreographer, uses her skills and years of rigorous training to utilize her breathtaking art of traditional Middle Eastern dance to speak out against the human rights violations that occur throughout the world.
