North Central College Theatre Department, "Iphigenia Among the Taurians"
Euripides' ancient romantic tale follows heroine Iphigenia, the youthful princess of Greek tragedy who was once led to slaughter by her own father, as his sacrifice to the gods. Rescued by the goddess Artemis, Iphigenia now serves her new land as a temple priestess, charged with committing her own ritual sacrifices of foreign visitors. When she meets a pair of strangers with an unbelievable tale, Iphigenia forms a plan to escape. By Euripides Directed by Laura A. Lodewyck, Assistant Professor
